Federal and State Laws require Kitchen Suppression Systems to be serviced Semi-Annually by a certified contractor. They also require Fire Extinguishers and Emergency/Exit Lights to be serviced Annually by a certified contractor.
NFPA 96 Codes state that kitchens that use Solid Cooking Fuel such as wood or charcoal need to be cleaned at least monthly. High volume and 24-hour cooking facilities need to be cleaned at least quarterly. Low volume cooking facilities such as schools, churches and daycare facilities need to be cleaned at least semi-annually.
There are several reasons why a Filter Exchange Service is beneficial to a customer. Reasons include saving money: to clean hood filters in-house cost you labor, chemical, replacement costs, plumbing costs, possible EPA fines and possible worker’s comp claims to name a few. Other reasons include happier staff able to focus on food prep instead of filter cleaning, deeper cleaning of the baffles helping to prolong equipment lifespan, and lower hazard risks including fire and injury.
